I'm hopefully bringing in a car from the USA. The car's located in Boise Idaho. I've got a quote from Chuk's so far which seems pretty good. Has anyone else used them or has used some one else that they can recomend.
Cheers

I've used Liberty Classics a couple of times to bring parts in and found them very good. They are, however, based in Geraldine. Might be worth contacting Bruce. enquiries@libertyclassics.net

Try Mainfreight. There's a bloke there (Trevor Rice, if my memory serves me correctly) who is quite knowledgeable about all the ins and outs and has managed the importation of a number of cars from the US.

I used John Key from http://www.transamshipping.co.nz/ for shipping my Corvette from Arizona to NZ.

His price was as competitive as most the other big names. There were cheaper quotes as well but the cheaper ones can use a lot of agents and shipping handlers etc. whereas John handles everything door to door.

His people in the US and here in NZ do everything so at any one time, his company knows where your car is.
When I bought my car, John was in the US and called in on the dealer to collect the 'pink slip'.

They also deal with all the port loading and unloading and customs documentation so no 3rd party companies are involved that could mess things up.

Thanks for the recommendation. Main freight did a great job. My Stanley is safely home and the tinkering has begun.

1922 740 roadster. It's a runner but needs a bit of TLC so currently the burner is out for rebuild (debating how far to go) and I'm still chasing 200l of kerosene. Rego via the VCCNZ is underway.
