South Island Events this summer?

I visited the CARnival at Remarkables Park School in Queenstown yesterday. It was a small event with 20-30 cars of various eras and origin. The weather was incredibly kind as well. I was wondering if anyone else made it along? There was a TVR Cerbera which I think might belong to someone on this forum, possibly?
Anyway, I was wondering if there are any other events this summer that are worth while attending? I'm half thinking of going to Highlands101 in November but it's quite expensive, although it is quite high profile.
I'd imagine RobDickinson and GravelBen will have some suggestions?

Not sure when circuit events are on but there are always a few race meetings over the summer months (maybe check motorsport.org.nz calendar for details), but a few gravel rallies coming up soon down this way:

Depends what sort of thing you're looking for! Circuit events at Teretonga are far cheaper than at Highlands Park 
Plus there are any number of small ("classic") car shows, for example at Cromwell for the Classic Car and Hot Rod Show on 2nd January, Mataura's Motoring Mad Show - a fund raiser for the local Scouts - on 13th November, plus others (you've missed the big one in Dunedin, that was in September).
