Yes Graham, I was at the live show of The Wall in 1979 at Earl's Court when a plane flew past and crashed onto the stage. I saw the wire though!

Well i'm hopefully meeting up with the South Island Chairman of the Ferrari Club of NZ on Monday, but he hasn't given me the meet place yet!

Hoping the weather doesn't pack up too, as i want to take pics along the trip.

Went for a blat in a DB9 a couple months back... Black with red leather interior..... despite the HORRENDOUS interior colour, the rest was BRILLIANT

What about the private collection in Lyttelton by the harbour there. I bumped into the owner who was driving a 1924 Studebaker (daily driver... no really!) and had allsorts in his garage. There were at least 3 or 4 totally unique cars from films including one made of wood! Would be worth a look, just off the main drag through Lyttelton as I remember.
Shame I never saw Fezzaz when I was in Chch though, wish I'd have known about that

The F40 belongs to Gavin Bain who owns Fazzaz. The D Type in the photo is also his. It's a genuine D type which at one stage had a Ford V8 installed, however now with an original wide head Jaguar 3.8. Gavin is well known in classic circles the world over. He purchased the F40 as part of a deal when he sold a very famous racing car which he discovered in a delapidated state on Banks Peninsula which he restored and sold overseas for around $5-6m. He's had a Jaguar XJ220 in his shop and many many other rare and interesting vehicles. Sureal, I know, but it's the truth. Gavin lives in Govenors Bay near Lyttelton and owns numerous other valuable classics.
