Hey NZ! What great pictures! I am over to see you all in Christchurch next year. Will have to leave my baby behind (Jag XJR) but am bringing my daughter over to visit with my Ma (Brit on permanent vacation!) in CH CH and to watch my Son's school rugger team play your youngsters. The life of a teenager eh? In my day etc etc...

Am absolutely gagging to get there. I had an amazing visit in 2001 and continue to want to be there on a permanent basis. Any jobs for building surveyors with attitude?!

Have a fine day and "bend those knees!"

Hi Johnnie

Try Goooooooogling - "leaky building" site:.nz

Not exactly sure which piece of the industry you're in but that should be enough to have you running screaming off into the distance

Right at the moment there are quite a few jobs going for qualified and experienced people in the building industry. The number of consent applications has dipped a little recently so it will take a while to see if it's a 'blip' or a real 'dip' . . . or a 'crash' (interest rates )

Either way, attitude is essential

I think theres plenty of surveying/building/construction jobs, but have a look at NZIS website and their immidiate and long term skills shortage lists and also the points calculator.

Emigrating/working in NZ isnt the easiest thing to do but its so worth it. Last weekend I spent all saturday snowboarding and could have gone surfing sunday like a mate but my wussy 2.5mm wetsuit isnt up to it..

So how many points does the calculator come up with for a combo snowboarding/surfing instructor ?

Essential services and all.

lol the bloke inside, went in a few weeks ago, way to cold, got about an hour and hypothermia sets in, that was 9degrees water temp.

Was 7 on sunday, maet in a 5mm tech wetsuit was OK for an hour until he got wiped and got his head wet, then he came out damned quick

Now there's an excellent idea . . . dress up like a seal and go play in the Great White's dinner bowl
