How easy is this motor to work on? Or easier and cheaper to drop a second hand motor in there?

Am hopefully getting a linkage kit for the Loti was no.1 ask. Got all expenses paid trip to Timavegas for Xmas and Clyde for new year. Sister organised local windsurders down there to lend us some decent kit for a blast on Lake Clearwater - if its happening. Thats more than I can ask for

Husband wants two new drill batteries.. about as interesting as my request...Lol!

Yep - will be a second-hand motor, we'll put new bearings in and baffle the sump before it goes in. We may be able to salvage the head in which case I'll probably build up a race motor when time and money allows. Best lap of the weekend was a 1'10.099" yeehaa!

Sorry to hear about the engine mate. Did the rod damage anything else during it's bid for freedom?

The AIM system looks cool but I think I need something smaller, simpler and more easily demountable for the Westie. The AIM probably belongs in a car with windows doors and at least a soft-top if not a hard-top

Haven't had a chance to get under the car yet - block is toast (new garden ornament for the missus) for sure but hopefully the head is salvageable.

I was told to avoid the DVD handicams and go for a regular digital of you're using it in a race car and if you get on with video in its just a matter of whacking a PAL bullet cam plus volts and you're away.

As a DaVid is looking unlikely, this is what I'll probably do. Previously I had the Video Camera between the seats on the rollcage diagonal but its a pita to turn on and off and check operation when strapped in.

It's going to be a very lean christmas though.... the birthday present I got myself a month ago (almost $900 worth of cellphone) got stolen last night (Crime's dropping don't you know?) so I guess I'll have to replace it... f*cking scrotes.

I know for sure I'll be getting some socks. [That is the truth, not a thinly veiled inuendo]. Plus Lotus mechanic's overalls and some jeans for 40 year olds (I 'found' these in an unmarked carrier bag whilst 'tidying up']

If I don't get throttle bodies, a baby will suffice ;-)

I wonder if the metallic blue TVR S3 I saw for sale is still available... that would be a good present to have, even if I did pay for it myself.

Does anyone know anything about this car, in the Blenheim area? I think the registration is SS626.

Aside from that, a mitre saw would be welcome before I start cutting a house-load of scotia and skirting.
