Spotted a Jowett Jupiter on Hobsonville Road this arvo.

Had to goooooooogle it and found a pic of the exact car.



It was moving along quite nicely

That Jupiter is often seen at classic racing meets in the North Island

...and it was in Waiuku on Sunday...

Ok it seem I've spotted a very rare car, that eveyone except me has already seen, many times, including recently, and in fact today

Actually last night I seen heaps of cool Britsh classics out. Either they were heading off for the weekend or just stretching the legs of their p&js as I were.

Today
Silver Lamborghini Diablo going south over the Brynderwyns. Black early E type going North at the same time. Nice.
Very dark blue almost black Chimera (Cerbera style lights) with Blue hood on the Northern Motorway yesterday. Luverly!

Wheels really the only proper clue... only the 500s got the Estoril wheels. The 500s also had the centre "bar" across the mouth, but the later 4.0s/4.3s I think got this also.

Black Esprit cruising up Hobson St yesterday and on to the Southern Motorway. Sounded very nice indeed, in case you were wondering why some weirdo pulled up alongside while rolling the window down.

Spotted in the driveway I share with my neighbour. Ive only seen it once (Ive only recently moved) and it dont live here but I think my neighbour owns it.

Cool dont suppose you know if it was a V8 or early stevens 4 banger wing or no wing? Theres a few early black Stevens Esprits in Auckland floating about. My previous fling "black beauty" went to Tauranga, miss that car

I think these G cars have the most outragous styling of the lot, it looks awesome.

Definitely a V8 of a similar vintage to yours I believe, complete with wing.

Passed me while heading to Taupo last weekend. I think is was an S2 and a slightly different red to the Elise red.

That one I don't know... it was owned by an Asian guy but it then sat back at Lotus cars on the north shore for best part of a year I think without selling, but I've not seen it for a while so I'm assuming it sold. I think they reduced the price quite a bit and someone probably got a pretty reasonable deal on it. I know the red you mean, it's a darker red than the more common "Ardent red" that's one of the "no cost" paints on the Elise/Exige, I think it's called "Canyon Red"
