Scary looking stuff Frayz, proper open heart surgery. Top work!
I am in awe of you guys who do this kind of thing. I honestly have no comprehension of exerting that much effort and possessing that level of knowledge about your cars, if I even stand near a screwdriver something is going to end up broken.
I'd send the bloody thing back to the dealers to have a dustcap replaced!

Haha, we do it because we have to Brad. We dream of owning cars like yours, but till i can afford one, ill just have to build something as fast.
Its a heap of effort and you do have times when you think "What the F**k am i doing?" haha. Chipping out sound deadening in almost 0 degrees does take a special kind of lunacy. I think youll be impressed with this line of updates though, this time shes on her way to becoming a serious road racer.
Subarus GT3 RS that was never made?

Something ive wanted for ages but never found a solution was a front splitter to fit the Prodrive edition front bumper. I've a few ideas and the first one of those ideas arrived today.
Genuine WRC dry carbon composite tarmac lip. Think this could look pretty sexy riveted to the front end.

This is as far as I've got today. All wiring from the dash back is now out, all deadening now gone and made a good start on removing most of the excess seam sealer.
Almost ready to start scotching up for paint, I'll get most of that done before the cage goes in because it's easier. Then it will all be prepped again once the tube work is in.
Yes I'm in the boot scraping sealer lol.

Following this up, I've carried on and done some more.
Complete AC system out.
With that in mind I got the trusty bathroom scales out.
Complete AC system was 13.2kg
Space saver & jack 20.1kg
Approx 15kg in misc parts (couldn't get them all on the scales)
11kg sound deadening.
So there a good 60kg before looking at bumper beams and the U brace is still on the car.
I'm yet to start on the doors too. It sounds daft but it's noticeably easier to push by hand.
I've also got a steel alternator bracket on the way so I'll dump the big chunk of ally too.
