Now, I don't have anything against our southern neighbours, but it does strike me as odd that the Kent & Essex regions have been put together like they have, considering that only a single road connects them, and a massive lump of water separates us. I would have thought it would make more sense to lump Essex in with the East Anglia region.

I know very few people who actually commute from Essex into Kent to work or vice-versa, and I would guess most people using the crossing are just passing through anyway.

It's generally the 'Spotted' thread that seems to be the most pointless result of the joining of the two - I'll see loads of posts, and pop in to see if there are any interesting spots, but they all seem to be on the other side of the water. No doubt this is the same for the Kent residents when all they see is us Essex users posting. Perhaps it might be worth starting separate Spotted threads for each county?

Always puzzled me too. If you were going to put two counties together, Essex & Suffolk, KENT & Sussex would make much more sense. The huge area covered and resulting lack of continuity/relevance probably the main reason I don't look at this board much

Totally agree on this - our other hoons (organised elsewhere) generally overlap and occur over Kent/Surrey/Sussex - makes far more sense that way IMO

It will just be someone that classified Kessex as the same place.

I have had a few colleagues in London think like that over the years.
