I did similar yesterday - needed to take the exige for a run and combined it with checking out potential wedding venues.

I'm Beckenham based but needed petrol so did:

Beckenham - Bromley Common (shell) - Badgers Mount - Chartwell - Chiddingstone - Ashdown Forest - Edenbridge - Westerham - Biggin Hill - Home

Like the otford - eynsford road but always get caught up behind dawdlers, without an overtaking opportunity.

I personally find the roads out toward Chiddingstone far better for traffic levels (plus being a little narrower), although more bumpy they suit my car a little better.

Nice early run out this morning Hosey Hill, Four elms, Riverhead back via Otford/Eynsford managed to avoid most of the Lycra louts cycling three deep, but if it’s not them it’s Ocado delivery vans doing their best to spoil a spirited drive.
It's all about the Hosey Hill

That's pretty much the reverse of my normal route smile

What I like about the route is getting to the little Waitrose in Sevenoaks on Sunday morning, just after it's opened for fresh croissants and pain au chocolate, mmmmm

Does anyone have a Google map version of any Kent runs?

There were a couple of Kent/Sussex ones in here a few years ago which I will link if I can find them.

Organised a few over on another forum, generally meeting at one pub (decent car park) going to another with a decent car park for lunch.

Last route was here:

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/The+Woodman,+Bes...

but we ended up further into the Ashdown forest in reality as I used the above as a guide and followed my nose for a bit (the 40mph limit sections are a little annoying however.....)

Ha you are very near me Kiethton I've seen that Lotus before off Southend Rd! Will have to PM and head out soon.

Think I joined you briefly one weekend last summer with a few elises around four elms down to Penshurst?

I also stop at Bromley Common for the V power, cheaper than the mark up in Hayes and Clockhouse and no risk of scrapes!

Wasn't me I don't think, only got the car in July smile

Oh and Southend Road is very likely - I'm on The Avenue, small world!

When the weather gets a little better (R888's aren't great right now!) I'd be all over it smile

I grew up in Hazelhurst off Albemarle, I'm hoping you're in the smooth bit of the Avenue with the Elise........

Best of both worlds thankfully - on the unmade part (no traffic) but access to the garages etc. via tarmac smile

The hump bridge isn't ideal with lower than normal visibility however....

I've driven down to Bexhill (from London, mainly down the A21) a couple of times recently, the roads have been pretty cut up with the frost and the rain.
Might want to give them a month or so to patch up the roads before starting the runs smile

Roads down to Rye/Dungeness aren't bad. Could plan something around that.

Is it worth proposing a tentative date to get something in people's calendars?

Likewise - roads out toward Edenbridge/Chiddingstone weren't too bad either......

Something like this could be a lot of fun for a starting point for a first thought for a route. Should work well, especially if starting early....working our way to breakfast via a tunnel? Roads should prove a good mix for all? (obviously with re-group/pitstop points) - please feel free to amend if you think i've gone a bit off smile

To float a date - How does Saturday 24th/Sunday 25th February work? - I presume earlyish to avoid dawdlers - could even finish for breakfast?

Hi chaps.

I'm Surrey/Kent border so know a lot of the local roads and always keen for a meet and drive, could be a few local friends around as well.

I can always make local suggestions for breakfast as well as I know a few places.

I'm sure that's the route I was on once.

I probably still have the route and TomTom file on one of my old PC backups.
