Hi all, it's coming up to the time to choose a primary school for our little girl, and I am wondering if anyone has any experience or advice about the schools in Chelmsford? In case it makes any difference, our daughter seems quite bright so we would like somewhere where she will be stretched and not get bored.

I'm in Chelmo, but as I'm an old git I don't have any recent experience with schools in the area, though I believe that they are generally good.

Is there somewhere online that rates the local schools?

I assume also that there will be a difference between the state and private schools.

Sorry I can't be more help.

You can only choose the schools that are in your catchment area. And then you may or may not get your first choice, or even your second choice.

Problem is in Chelmsford is that the city has 2 of the best senior schools in the country, lots of people move to Chelmsford so they can be in the catchment area for these schools. I know you are looking at primary, but I imagine that places in the main feeder schools will be pretty high in demand too.
