New R8 looking for a performance/service garage in esseX

Hi all
I’ve recently bought an early R8 (V8)
Im looking for a good Audi service garage in or close to Essex.
I’d like the garage to be capable of carrying out minor performance upgrades.
Would anyone know anywhere or recommend anywhere??

Had an R8 V8 for two and a half years and found plenty of Audi Sport specialist independents in and around Essex, but when I phoned up they'd years of S/RS experience but many had none with the R8. And I wasn't in the mood to be the guinea pig. Hopefully things have changed but most R8 owners rave about REPerformance near Reading and heard nothing about anywhere else down South.

In the end I used Audi Hatfield. They were actually competitive on consumables like tyres. Nothing special, but no horror stories.

R8 Drive group on Facebook would be a good place to ask, and R8talk.co.uk too (a lot of US posters, but some UK contributors too).

When I was looking at R8's AMD in Thurrock were often mentioned to me, as people who understood the V8 Engines and their issues with coking etc..

That was a good 7 years ago and things can change.
