What about down to the pilot at Dungeness? It’s a lovely drive through Goudhurst/Sissinghurst/Biddenden/Appledore/Romney Marsh.
I think I accidentally drove sections of this on Saturday trying to take the shortest journey home from Rye to save fuel – passing through Newenden, Rolvenden, Benenden and Sissinghurst. So many brilliant sections of road that I can't wait to drive in my car, will definitely be the route for a Sunday morning run in November!Ben Lowden said:

Who was navigating? Shortest is Iden, Wittersham, Smallhythe, Tenterden, Cranbrook Rd to Sissinghurst. Some passing points but Cranbrook Rd surface it awful.Military Rd between Rye and Appledore is popular, but also with plod, occasionally, as a result. Udimore Rd from Rye, across A28 to Cripp's Corner is a nice drive, but Sussex. The Hub at Bodiam or Hawkhurst Fish Farm good for parking and food.
I've started a new thread for a run out on 7th November to the coast, likely to start in Tonbridge/Paddock Wood area and head down to Dungeness/Rye for breakfast. Put your name down if you're interested and can make it https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
I did not know about this section on PH 😩
I moved down to Medway 4 years ago from London but I haven't found any good driving roads yet. Most of the country lanes around me have high hedges and are blind which is not ideal.
I'm up for trying some of the routes on this thread and to meet up.
I've fractured the top of my arm so I cant drive for upto 12 weeks. I can't wait for it to heel.
