Yes of course! We should have an M4 joining us as well, so will be around 10/11 cars.

Sounds good Ben, I may be a little late so not sure if you are happy to DM me the location of the photo stop and if so will meet you there and go onto the pub with you all afterwards. Cheers!
No problem at all, I'll PM everyone with the meeting location and route details over the weekend.

There is currently no petrol in the Sevenoaks/Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells area either.

There was a mere 5 miles away yesterday. smile

The temporary sign said No Fuel but the shop was open so I decided to pop in and purchase a chocolate bar and a soft drink.
It turned out to be a fortunate decision.

I was the only customer at that precise moment and chatted to the cashier. I asked him if he knew when a fuel delivery might take place.
Not really expecting a positive answer I was amazed to discover one was due around 6pm.
So I found a strategic spot to lurk without blocking traffic and awaited developments. Sure enough around 50 minutes later at 6.15 the tanker arrived.
Word spread rapidly and a massive queue swiftly developed. My patience was rewarded by being first in line after it had departed. thumbup
When I left the tailback on the opposite carriageway already stretched for over half a mile with more arriving. Utter chaos.

I saw a matrix sign on the M25 this morning. No Fuel. Maidstone Services M20 J8. Fun times...

That was lucky! I'm just about to PM everyone now with the meeting point and route however I'm not feeling hopeful that I'll be able to get fuel tomorrow to actually be able to join. So we may end up needing to postpone to the following week, but lets see how we all get on.

Edit: Ignore where I've said 'route for tomorrow', meant Tuesday! If people can update with their fuel situation, that would be helpful. I'm going to try and get some around lunchtime tomorrow.

@Bluefocus, you're not accepting PMs so please drop me a message so I can send you the details.

Ben
Thank you so much for the route…very nice, taking in some places I don’t know..I’m up in Derbyshire at present, with 3/8ths of tank in my CL that won’t get me back to Kent. On the hunt tomorrow morning…
I know the GT’s fuel light has just come on so if I can get back I would need to find fuel round Tonbridge too…what an absolute bugger.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings…

I'll go on a super-unleaded hunt this evening as I'll need some before tomorrow. If anyone manages to get some nearby can you post on this thread where has stock.

My fuel situation is less than ideal.
Girlfriends Gti is sat on the drive with 0 miles after spending 45 minutes yesterday trying to find fuel.

She has taken the m2 to work this morning which had a qtr tank and found that Wrotham hill Shell had fuel - only to discover that it only had 95. So now the M2 has a full tank, but that may need to be used for her to get to work this week if I cant fill a jerry can for the golf later.

Also the M2 is mapped for 98 with a tank full of 95 so she is on strict instruction to use no boost! I have turned it down to "CS Map" instead and have an unused bottle of Octane booster here which i will throw in later and try to data log and see how that looks.

I'm wondering if it's worth postponing to Wednesday – weather looks pretty rubbish now tomorrow afternoon/evening and Wednesday looks clear, plus it gives people more time to get fuel.

I would suggest we just push back to next week but the daylight is drawing in so fast, it will be dark next week.

Everyone happy with pushing to Wednesday this week?

Based on a couple of messages I've received, it looks like tomorrow is still the consensus so lets stick with it. I can't be bothered to go and queue for fuel today so lets see what tomorrow brings – nothing like cutting it fine biggrin

I have just found this thread, I can do tomorrow night but not Wednesday - and I have some fuel.

Boxster, Chavved up track mini or ANOther depending on delivery / weather.

Ben - could you PM me the route if you are still on for tomorrow evening?…

I haven't been able to get fuel but will be there tonight with other Ben in his M2 Comp as a passenger. Will be great to meet those that can make it but please prioritise fuel for work if you need to, there will be more drives in the future! Otherwise see you later and we'll aim to leave by 18:35.
