These seem to have been revamped a month or so back and now have all manner of small cameras on them, anyone know if they are red light cameras?

It doesn't say they are and they are not big and yellow like red light cameras typically are, but having had cars run reds coming out of the cherry tree junction toward Miami roundabout, when i was going into town - the London road lights had gone green already - makes me wonder if these c*nts will be nicked?

if not RL cameras what are they for?

Drove through that junction a couple of times yesterday - see what you mean re cameras, assume it's these, by way of upgrading: https://www.essexhighways.org/intelligent-transpor...

Can't find specifics re these works as now appear completed.

Agree re people jumping lights there though, especially turning right onto NLR, been a problem for years.

ah probably them...re. jumpers don't want to cast aspersion on the housing from that direction (indeed my lineage has that in it), but... all fits...

Turning right from Writtle Road onto NLR (i.e towards the Miami) has long been an issue as the white lines are set some distance back from the junction & as such the green light never seems to be on for very long - if you get caught behind a larger vehicle chances are you won't get through on that light cycle. Not sure if these changes have altered the light timing.

I usually cut down Upper Bridge St to avoid that junction if I'm heading towards the city centre (plus it's a more interesting route).
