Billericay Coachworks - anyone here used their services?

I'm looking to get a few minor bodywork jobs done on the 308.
I had a brief chat with Billericay Coachworks (Radford Way, Billericay)
this week and they said that they would take a look, if I fetched the car in.
They appear to have been around a while but I would be interested if anyone here has used them, before I entrust my pride and joy with them.

They repaired a collegues car, cost was pretty high I thought (cost got passed on to me 
).
I recommend Upminster Panelcraft on the A127, owned by a mates Dad, done some work on mine and was impressed - plus they have a new valeter who did a great job on my mates car
They are pretty busy, but give them a ring and speak to Alf

Thanks very much for that. I'll see what the Billericay boys quote and work on from there. I have always got this sort of work (bodywork and mechanical) done at Fullbridge Restoration in Maldon who have always done a fantastic job.
But it is a bit of a hike for a couple of very small jobs - it would be nice to be able to drop the car off on my way to work as opposed to driving out to Maldon on a Saturday morning and then paying £30 for a cab back...

Very true. This could be one of those decisions that will be regretted in years to come...
I originally went to Fullbridge Restoration based upon personal recommendation and having seen them credited in various books. I was hoping that a raft of glowing references would pop up for Billericay Coachworks but it seems that no one has had personal experience of them. I still may pop along and have a look at the facilites they have. I think they mainly do 'new panel,trim and then respray/blend' type work which isn't what I need but they said they would have a look.

You could also try JD Classics in Maldon, they have an awesome facility - but I bet they will be pricey!
They always have a huge stock of cars for sale in Classic & Sports Car Magazine - the pictures of the showroom are very impressive. With them moving from Rettendon to Maldon there is now a stack of specialists in the area. Terry Hoyle is still there too.

My wife's Ibiza was repaired by Billericay coachworks via the insurance company. I assume that's their main trade now. We had to return it a couple of times due to poor finish (around the lights needed some more grinding & repainting).
I personally wouldn't.

Thanks for that - I was on the verge of pulling the trigger. I did pop in there on Tuesday and their main business would appear to be insurance work. The guy (Keith) who looked at my car said that they don't normally touch restoration work except for his own fleet of classics (and he had an impressive range of cars). He was extremely knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed certain flaws in my paintwork.
I will getting along to the Rettendon meeting tonight, I'll see if I get any further suggestions there...
I went to Billericay Coachworks many years ago.
They did some work on my Manta years ago, which was good. They weren't much good at welding up holes in the seams though. They are more panel resprays/straightening etc, rather than full on restoration work.
They also did a job on the Supe, respraying the rear bumper, but they did not use the correct paint, and it flaked off
