M20 Junction 10 kill those traffic lights

For some years locals to Ashford have suffered the appalling planning decision to fit traffic lights to junction 10 of the M20. These lights have caused big tail backs as they are never in sync. The junction is being modified and has been reduced in lanes and the lights switched off. Since that time the delays have vanished. The Kentish Express has set up a petition to get the lights removed.
Will it do any goood , who knows. However if it suceeds perhaps it might help stop this time wasting practice.
