I've been clearing out the loft and have a load of car magazines to shift so I've stuck them on ebay, going to have a load of other stuff when I clear the garage if I can bear to sell it

Anyhow - if this link works then this is what's up for grabs;
http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZ5t

BUT, yes, there's a but... if you live near medway and you win the auction then you can pick them up free of charge. And I don't mean just the postage I mean the whole item (ie. one set of the mags) free of charge. The only condition is that you give me a passenger ride round the block in whatever interesting motor you have, ie. Lotus, TVR, Ultima, Ferrari, McLaren, Bugatti (well... worth a try)

Obviously if some smart alec bids a million squid on each item then don't forget that you're only getting one of them free...

cheers,
MooSpeed (Rainham, Kent)

I recently looked at ebay to try and sell all my Land Rover, Porsche and Mini mags. I'd built up nearly 300 over the years and thought they might be worth something. However, looking at the prices these type of collections were going for I decided not to bother. It wasn't worth the time it would take to prepare all the listings.

I gave mine all to my local Land Rover indy and he will give them away in his shop. At least someone gets some pleasure from them and I don't have a bleedin great box cluttering up the place.

I must admit - it took flippin ages to advertise that lot. I even downloaded ebay's TurboLister 2 thinking it would help but it didn't much. Wouldn't bother again...

I've got some other "bigger" stuff to advertise on there, might enforce a minimum £5 selling rule on myself and skip anything cheaper.

Hoping there's a rare hidden "gem" in that lot I've advertised and the bids spiral into the thousands ) 2 hopes of that....

Yep - them's the Hope's I was thinking of

Plenty of "watchers" on them all but no bids. I can see I'll be struggling under the weight of 50-60 magazines being carried to the post office all for a measly 99p.

Having a rethink about whether I can be arsed or not now. Might remove the listings, save myself the hassle and stick 'em in the recycling bin.

Oh well... will have to stick to the £1 a week savings plan. £3 in the pot, another 3,077 years to go 'til I get my gallardo superlight
