I can confirm from the parts prices that they've charged me recently that they're not biglaugh However, the quality of the new wheels I had was probably similar...
hehe

Black TR6 in Heybridge earlier today & a little later back in Chelmsford an Infiniti Q60 convertible - don't think I've ever seen one of those; did a double take as I thought it was a Lexus SC430.

Braintree this morning & another yank pick-up: late model (late '70's) Sixth Gen Ford F Series with a slight lift kit outside a house & then a little later a MkII Fiesta XR2 (few of them left) outside an industrial unit.

It's strange huh? As you remember with the proximity of Dunton/Basildon/Warley/Brentwood/Dagenham and the huge number of Ford employees with access to the discount scheme these things were everywhere, I seem to recall they accounted for around 20% of all Fiesta sales at the time.

My favourite was the XR2-40 - a local dealer special in blue with the 7-spoke RS wheels. I wonder if any survive after the Scrappage Scheme cull?

Yep, very, very few left - 679 XR2's (so assume Mk 1 & 2) according to How Many Left, although even fewer XR2i's - circa 600.

They were v. popular. I had a v. clean H plate XR2i in the late '90's - didn't have PAS, which was a pain as I had to park it in a tight spot behind an office at the time.

I had an XR2 a couple of years ago. Someone had spent a fortune on having the interior re done in red leather (which actually suited it). It was a nice little car.

Saw a new Dodge Ram last night near Latchingdon, and an Austin A90 ( I think), which must have been flat out in the fast lane of the A127

Few today, all PM: white E30 Touring, black Aventador & a red Triumph Stag on Braintree Road/A131 between Braintree & Chelmsford.

In Braintree and a red Ninth Gen Ford F-150 pick-up on a house drive. Also went past this comically overgrown Allegro on Rose Hill - it's been there for years but is now almost completely hidden (not my pic):

Finally, and back in Chelmsford; a VW ID.3 - first one of those I've seen.

Edited to add, remembered that I also saw the rear of a Ferrari 360 on a drive on the outskirts of Bicknacre.

I'd have never have guessed that wasn't your photo TC wink

Saw this yesterday, and then the XJ-S popped into work and then a Ferrari 812 near Rawreth yesterday evening.

Then saw all these this morning!

I now have a regular spot on my commute. See a silver Evo (unsure on generation) driving from Bromley out to the A20 at Chislehurst. Had a but of fun with a traffic light grand Prix this morning hehe

Doing better than me - seen feck all so far this week.

Is that a Renna 12 or the Romanian Dacia version?

That Ferrari 250's superb - need to find a reason to pop to Colc to have a gawp.
