First Toyota GR Yaris' today - bit of a cheat as they were outside the Chelmsford Toyota dealership. Two white & a red one. Looked great.
ooh nice, looking forward to seeing one. Saw a C5 Corvette on the A127 today. Also saw a few things in Kent...but I'll add photos in a minute.
C5 Vettes have really grown on me I have to say, not quite sure why. Lusted after a C6 Z06 for a while, mostly after various Le Mans trips smile

All older Vette's look good compared to the new one IMO - although the C8 looks really good as a racing car; shame it's unlikely to sound anything like the LM/GT spec C6's & C7's.

I keep really fancying a C4 Corvette, and I'd like to modify a C3 (and to have an early C3 convertible 454 manual)

Saw this in Kent..

Best place for it.

Some years ago I remember a Robin catching fire at the entrance to Sainsbury's in Basildon - all that was left were a couple of sorry looking lengths of steel chassis & a tiny engine block.

Wrong.
The best place for them used to be the Arena Essex. The Robin races were hysterical.

A nice spot in Witham today was a smurf blue Porsche 968 which looked great. I was in my Z3M Coupe, I flashed for some reason in some sort of appreciation for another modern classic out on a cold January day.

This little Elise this morning, and a few cars in front of it was an F150 Raptor.

Today & a light green M-B W123 Saloon & my first spot of the year of a Chelmsford local light blue Tuscan - both in central Chelmsford.

Braintree earlier & a blue Audi R8 Cab. Also heard the sonic boom caused by an RAF Typhoon intercepting an errant cargo jet & then saw a heavily modded Fourth Gen Toyota Supra on Braintree Road passing Chatham Green. Same road on the way to Braintree earlier in the day & saw an X plate blue Austin Metro on Minilites - think it's the one that lives in Maldon.

I just had to Google Chatham Green. I was fully expecting a council estate.

So pleasantly surprised to see a rural village.

It's the "Chatham" bit that throws you.

Yup, that’s what did it.

Nothing in any pedia about it’s origins or use of the name.

Got me digging about as well...

The hamlet and road (from Braintree Road) is shown on maps as Chatham Hall up until circa 1875. It's shown as Chatham Green thereafter. Chatham Hall (house) remains in part original & dates back to the 1500's - I assume the area was originally named after the landowner/farmer who built it, and then received a more appropriate "location" name to reflect the growth of the hamlet by the late 1800's.
