Car hire prices

I must be going crazy or imagining things
A few weeks ago i was checking out car hire in SFO for July 17 They were around (IIRC)the 50 dollar for the smallest class

Just been on again and the price 'seems' to have jumped to 72 dollars.

Are here any self rive around the 50 dollar mark?

This is playing havoc with my budget planning!

Usually a fly drive package with an airline will cheapen offers considerably.

Cant do that as i am airmiles, but did a date for comparison.
July cost 610 sept cost 450

Guess who is going in Sept?

Rates always fall after Labor Day and when everybody is back at school, college or work.
