I need some help in identifying this US Military uniform from the late 1960s.

If anyone can tell me which service it pertains to, and any other possible useful details, I would be most grateful.

That looks like an army green service uniform.

Identifying much more will be difficult as there are no unit, campaign or rank patches.

I asked on a US car forum and this is one of the replies....

This is what the Army called the Class A Service uniform. Designed post WWII and in place until a few yrs back. I was on the Army from 1986-2016 and wore this uniform almost the entire time when needed of course. Looking the picture above and based on the fact that the soldier has no service ribbons or anything else, the pic is a typical basic training picture.

Would you mind if I add this photo on here ?

I’m 67 and late last year I did a DNA thingy and found out my real Dad was in the US Air Force for 21 years. He was over here in the mid-fifties.

Anyhow can anyone tell me anything about the badges on the uniform please ?

305th Bomber Wing has the motto "Can Do" and flew Convair B58 Hustlers between 1961 and 1970. These days the 305th fly C17s. The rank insignia is of a Staff Sergeant E-5.

He clearly liked ballpoint pens.

Thank you.

Any idea if he'd be flight or ground crew from any of this ?

I also found a half-sister in Indiana but he never talked about what he did.

I can't see anything hinting at his trade in the insignia/uniform, but the ballpoint pens and the typewriter suggest he might have been a clerk/admin of some kind.
