Yes been there and it's ok, but Viceroy is good. Saffron down the road from the Viceroy (St Leonards Road) is possibly better than Viceroy, but don't go in Elachi on the corner of Grove Road

It is pretty good but can be a little quiet. IMO food is better than the Viceroy but does cost more.

Yet to try Saffron but rate Spices in Datchet as the nicest!

Thanks guys, I went a couple of weeks ago. It was more expensive and there wasn't really much of an atmosphere, I couldn't really see what the extra expense was getting over the Viceroy.

Too late, been to Elachi, was very disapointed with it, surprised it's still going with the Viceroy close by. I had noticed Saffron and had a read of the menu, will give it a go next time.

BTW Al Fassia (also in St Leonards Rd) is worth a visit, very nice morrocon food

Also worth a visit to Toscano's which is near Peascod on St Leonards Rd, but leave yourself 3-4 hours. You might see a red Chim if you walk to this as I live within 50 yards.

Oh that's you is it! Ah ha.

I'm still a devotee of the Viceroy, I daren't go to Saffron in case someone from the Viceroy sees me and takes me off their christmas card list!

Had a very nice Chinese at the Jade Palace a couple of weeks ago (opposite the Arts Center) and they deliver, bless them.

Has anyone been to the Turkish place, Antalya, on Peascod St lately?

Try Saffron... it's worth the extra 2 minute walk.

I went to Antalya 6 months ago and was not that impressed, but maybe I'm not sure what I'm looking for from Turkish food. The two Brewers is great, and the Al fasila is not bad!

I was in The Two Brewers last Tuesday for a drinks session. Best pub in Windsor I reckon.

Never eaten there though, do they still do the theme nights?

Two Brewers is an excellent pub although the food can be variable..I think they do still do the theme nights although you have to book to have any chance of getting in.

I rather like the Vansittart Arms - good reliable beer and nice grub.

Ahh, the Two Brewers, yes I like it in there. I've had lunch a couple of times which has been good. Sometimes gets a bit packed for me in the evenings.

I've taken to going in the Duke of Connaught on Arthur Road (I know the people who took it over a little while ago) so I'd recommed giving that a go if you've not been in lately. You might even catch white_van_man behind the bar!

T-J-K, thanks for the Antalya info. I went in when it first opened but not since. I've been talking to my neighbours about giving Misugo a bash - I'll let you know how we get on.

Only just read this and I'm in Leicester, but if I manage to get out of work, it's a possible. Anyone turning up?
