As above, some recommendations? I know about The Ely, Heron on the Lake in Fleet. What others would be nice but not too posh as we'll all be hung over. Also, nothing too posh/pricey.

I really like Alcatraz in Camberley, food is always great. Not much else to shout about locally unless you go posh eg Bluebells / Pennyhill park.

If you like Heron on the Lake then the sister place is Kingfisher on the Quay which is where the Quays used to be in Mytchett.

I like The Phoenix in Hartley Witney, if you go on a Sunday their roasts are to die for too.

El Pic on the A30 is the best tapas I've ever tried. Not sure if it's open lunchtimes, but Richard and the team offer legendary service and incredible food. 100% recommended & worth shifting lunch to an early dinner for sure.

The Swan in Ash Vale does good food and is very reasonably priced.

Ok ,quick update, we went to the Dog and Partridge in Yately. Food was very nice but they only do Sunday Roast on Sundays although starters and desserts are varied. The service was good and the chef came out to ask us how things were. Overall very good. We'll go back.

Just to add:

Bills in Camberley - its ok but just a chain restaurant really. First time we went to one we thought it was great but since then...
The Swan - nice enough but just normal pub grub, we wanted something a bit nicer
Heron on the lake - its ok again but we'd had some 'passable' food there in the past.
