My boy went up the back of a car driven by a Sri Lankan from slough, on the roundabout over the M3, Bagshot, in his Corsa, with his mates in the back, ,at a few mph, a year ago. Cracked number plate etc, his fault, no contest.

He took photos and stood next to the lone driver while he chatted on the phone the whole time. He even gave my boy a pre-printed name and address.

We thought nothing until the whiplash claim came in for him and his wife and his 2 children. Insurance hadn't been informed and reluctantly they decided to help out.Turns out he had made the same claim ,one year previously with the same insurance company and won.

To cut a long story very short, My boy and his mates and me and the wife went to court. He went through a No win lawyer .His lawyer backed out two weeks before, as it was a lost cause. He turned up with wife and 2 very young children and had done nothing about it. Judge had sympathy until he was put straight on the previous claim.

Anyway the guy wanted out.

Our lawyer went for costs and won. The Judge claimed court costs for the wasted day, Our boys got loss of earnings. It came to Thousands. He was bankrupted several months later and was made an example of. My boy got his no claims back.

Moral of the story is ,No win no fee DOES NOT necessarily mean, No win no cost you a fing.

We bought three sofas in Farnborough on Sunday. We'd only driven down there to see a National Trust property. Be careful out there. frown

Regardless of who was at fault, or who did or didn't do this or that.

Cracked number plate, yet 4 people claiming whiplash.....get real ffs, If indeed there were in fact 4 people in the car. It's time medical evidence was used and these cheating b......s done for fraudulent claiming.

My sister had something similar. Mysteriously extra passangers appeared in a claim, the driver had a previous claim on-going for the same type of incident, and it turned out the extra passengers who were not there also had some immigration issues ...

Just a couple of observations.
1) i drive for a charity that transports people born with various ailments, and can assure you that they are much better people than
Ismell etc etc

Second

He notes that in one post

'He personally knows her' and later

'She is a family member'

does he 'know' her in the biblical sense??????

I think we should be told ,but i looks as though his Dad has put the parental lock on the PC

Thought I'd update this one.

Two personal injury claims have now been settled, plus the damage to the Chrysler (we made no claim for our car as it was just a cracked bumper on a 14 year old Volvo).

Total payout for a 5mph crash? £7631.39.
