I was going in the opposite direction this morning, but it looked open to me.

So they've not opened the right turn from Blackwater to the A331 yet? Lots of people in hi-vis when I went round today and the temporary light swere still operational.
Someone commented on a local Facebook page that the right turn is now open

Well, whatever they've done hasn't helped the A30 from Camberley towards Blackwater at rush hour. Took me 20 mins to get from Frimley Road to Meadows yesterday (~5:30). Think that's worse than before!

I sailed through this morning coming from Rackstraws down to the M3.
Was a little later than usual, (about 830) but best run through I've had in ages, suspect it may be because of being a Friday and less traffic due to people being off to take advantage of the short week though.
The right hand turn lane from Blackwater to the M3 was working too.

But it isn't actually finished yet is it?

I came off the M3 onto the A331 early yesterday morning and 2 lanes were closed (again). banghead

Got a green light and the white Audi that had come storming past me on the A331 just sat there, so I flashed my headlights and it dithered before it headed down the A30 in the wrong direction (but in true Audi style no indicators were involved). banghead

I followed a BMW yesterday and for the 20 min trip did not use indicators once.
Time to show him what 5.6 litres of boosted V8 could do

They need to paint some new white lines too. Very difficult to see in the dark whether some parts or 2 or 3 lanes.

Well it wasn't me - my 330i came complete with working indicators that I use! laugh But I did have to educate a C250 CDi Coupe driver about performance on the A331. laugh

But on the positive side it all seems to be finished now, and so far it is looking like an improvement.

Plus it wasn't nearly as disruptive as anything BFBC has done. banghead

My daily (not that I use it much as I have work trucks) is a 335d (Twin power turbo or whatever it's called)
Has all sorts of extras including head up and the upgraded HK sound system is pretty good.
All the controls are easy to operate, DAB reception is good and the phone links without issue.
And for a soot burner it's quick (slight adjustment to the toon which was an approved extra)
Bang it into full sports mode and your have a light quick shopping car.

Must admit saw a new M5 at the club a few weeks ago and it did look tempting.
Saying that the M4 & M2 are both good.

All I believe come equipped with a working turn signal system as standard.
All of my previous BM's (4) had them and I found it a simple operation to use them.
My youngest daughter has an Audi S3 and that also has them, she also finds them easy to use.
The best thing is you don't even have to leave your seat to operate them.

Am yet to try the new Meadows but will tomorrow at some point.

Be careful if you're coming from the M3 down the A331 and turning left towards Blackwater, the turn left filter lights stayed green today after the A30 from Camberley lights were green. That could be interesting come rush hour eek

All my previous BMWs (5 of them) had working indicators, and both my current ones have them too!

But I've moved on from diseasels!

My E90 330i has the split/fold rear seat option, tilt/slide sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlights and a DAB tuner.

But if I'm in a hurry I'll use my Z4 Coupe - I just can't see any 335d as being a "light, quick, shopping car". laugh

Or much fun! rolleyes

Enjoy the Meadows - I just hope you try it when I'm not there!

Anyone else noticed they’ve messed up the speed limit signs?

Just prior to Tesco’s the near side states 50mph and the adjacent offside states national speed limit spin

I've noticed the same thing the last couple of times i've driven through where the left lane towards Blackwater remains green even when traffic is flowing from the A30 Camberley direction.

TBH i have a feeling they've actually been set that like rather than it being a glitch. I'm wondering whether they've done it to allow people to still turn left towards Blackwater, off the A331, if there's a suitable gap / if it's clear from the A30 direction in a cheap hack to avoid the queue going further back down the A331?

Although based on the near miss this afternoon where a focus just kept going, assuming they had right of way to turn left, ignoring the UPS truck to their right that had to slam on the brakes not to hit them, i imagine it won't be long before there's a prang there (if there hasn't already been of course).

Funnily enough one of the, rejected, redesign plans featured a much longer left hand feed lane for Blackwater that wen't back as far as the traffic lights at the industrial units with the aim to cut out the queues for those in lanes not going to Blackwater. They'd have got that lane by using what's currently the pavement / verge in front of the pet food industrial unit. It seems when they decided to go with the current setup (which essentially just adds an extra lane on the A331 & the turn right from Blackwater), it appears they scapped the extra long left feeder lane in favour of just building out the right hand lane a few yards earlier than where it started before. So in peak times the queue for Blackwater still impacts the other lanes anyway.

Yes, but that does seem strange given that they renewed the traffic lights where Rackstraw Road meets Laundry Lane recently and a left turn onto Laundry Lane often has a red light although it never did before - maybe they just slipped up! Which is handy if you are on the A331 heading for the West-bound A30, but you need to keep your wits about you!
