Hi all, I am near to newbury (village called inkpen if anyone knows it). I see some reosonoble cars around hungerford and newbury and have had some nice chats with fellow local enthusiasts.

Despite this I cannot find any closeby meets or runs. Does anyone know of anything happening in this area or if there is nothing organised maybe we could set something up.

I have heard of the RG cruisers meet in reading but I can't find out much about it and nothing recent. Do any of you attend this meet and what sort of crowd does it atract?

I'm open to any ideas and sugestions and would like to meet some of the local pistonheaders, cheers for any ideas, Adam.

I think the Reading meet is quite regular.

There is a chap on youtube that videos lots of local and not so local events and apparently his instagram tells you when things are on. AdamC3046 is his name.

Best thing you can do with an R26 is start getting it out on track even just starting with a few sessions at car shows if you don't already.

None locally. Most people round here are chavvy or too old for hanging around in car parks ha ha.

Yes as it happens I do watch adamc3046 but never really get to find out about the meets until I see his videos.

I have considered trackdays but I think if I was to do one it would have been in the mx5 as I am not quite so scared of breaking it to be honest, plus I am still fairly new to the r26. I also would struggle to justify the cost of a track day and putting that much stress on the car. last thing I need is an expensive repair.

At the moment I am getting my fixes from early morning Sunday runs. Either solo or once a month with the seven stars breakfast meet/run group.

Could really do with a more local run out aswell just to try and relieve some of the cravings smile

We have an MX5 meet that is currently on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 10am at Pinewood Café https://www.facebook.com/BracknellMX5Meet/. However, lots of the group do have other cars so amongst the mix is usually a Z4, 1 series, 350z. Occasionally we'll get a Porsche (if Skinny turn's up) and we've even had a Ferrari in the past. So if you fancy having a look and tyre-kick of our cars then pop along - it's worth it just for the breakfast. Next one is on the 18th.

I don't know if it's running again but TVR used to meet at the Peacock Farm pub on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, if you're wanting something a bit more high end.

Thanks for that I will try and make it to one, unfortunately the 18th is the seven stars meet so will be attending there. Hopefully I can make it to one of the next ones. Do you post a topic on here when one is being arranged?

I originally started this event (but have recently handed the reins over to Horney-MX5) and I used to post up a reminder of the meet...until a moderator removed it one time saying it wasn't a PH approved meet, despite many other non-PH meets being advertised around the forum, so I've never bothered since. You'll just find it on the Facebook page now.

Depends how willing you are to travel but I along with a few others run an Oxfordshire-based car club called Limitless. We're predominantly a modified car club, but as the name implies, anything and everything is welcome. We've got members with unmodified cars, classic cars, pretty much everything!

Club Facebook pages are here and here, and there are plenty of pictures on there from our monthly meets - which start up again in April and are hosted by the team at This Is Your Garage in Culham, near Abingdon. We also organise club stands for most of the major car shows and some of the more country/marque-specific ones throughout the year.

Hope this is of some interest!

That's sounds stupid, there are loads of meets advertised on here. I am not on FB but I might have to open an account as it seems a lot of car events are posted on there.

Cheers, Culham isn't to far, just under 30 miles from me. I'm hoping to do some basic mods to my R26, possibly ktec exhaust, remap all the normal stuff so this sounds interesting. When I'm not at work I will have a look at the limitless meet.

The Reading meet as was is no more , it was primarily a Japanese car meet but overtime became more of a car enthusiasts meet where some owners like myself no longer owned Jap but still wanted to meet friends etc

Unfortunately overtime a more reckless element started to come and some bad behavior caused the meet to be closed by the Police.

I understand that attempts have been made to start a new meet there but not the same Jap based affair.

I'm just north of Newbury so might come along to the thing at Culham

There is a group on Facebook called Berkshire retro and custom and they meet in Newbury but I'm not sure when or how often they meet or what the meets are like though I think it's once a month and I may try and make some of these once I sort the car out.

Yes ,it's still on the 3rd Tue. of the month, I go but don't & have never had a TVR biggrin, it is mainly TVR's,but many other make sports cars turn up, Porsches, McLarens, Lambo's & an American pickup thats faster than all of them. I dont think anything would be unwelcome, & after all, PH started as a TVR group
P.S. Pinewood cafe also hold an American car meet on ?? Sunday of the month.

The TVR meet is open to anyone, in summer you need to get there early as the car park is usually full later on.

There's also a monthly classic car meet at White Lion Antiques near Hartley Wintney, the next one is the 25th March, well attended with some interesting cars turning up.

AdamC lists all the local car meets up on his Instagram page, generally about a week before they happen.

I know Adam C - or rather - I know his dad. Adam (and his dad) are very good people (to paraphrase Donald Trump).

For those who are interested in the Limitless meet, the Facebook event post is now up.

I'll be in this, and wearing a high-vis - I'll probably be the one telling you where to park:
