You can tell you are all posh out there. Many places that would be a shell by now.

I went past that a few times taking the boy to paintball and it's quite impressive how far up the verge it is with no skid marks.

I think you can see the dent in the verge where it ramped up it and took off. Its sunk down a bit in the hedge since it was first parked there.

I'm pleased to announce that the little MX5 has finally flown the nest.

I was feeling a bit sorry for it being in the hedge for at least 3 weeks. Glad to see it’s been dragged out now. It is strange place to crash....very mild left hander.

A white van driver has decided to go one better, a very impressive effort! Hopefully, all are ok.

Utter black spot that place. I hate to say it but it needs some kind of traffic calming beyond the bloody speed camera.

Drove through there at 18:00ish tonight. Didn't see anything.

Two cars had collided further down though. Small hatchback and SUV next to the junction for Mapledurham Golf Club. Police in attendance but didn't look too bad.

It was still there this morning, it's a couple of bends closer to Reading than the MX-5 was.

I saw that accident last night, the Police had just arrived when I went past at 16:45ish. There was another smaller accident further along the 4074.

Must have had my blinkers on!

There is a right bend that is slightly off camber just as the road goes down the hill along from the MX5 nesting site. I've had the back end step out slightly years ago on it, and early this year a guy in Nissan Juke ended up completely broadside blocking road having lost the back end.

I spotted the van tonight! Every other day I've been blinded by oncoming traffic.

That is the exact place Juke Man ended up broadside across the road. He surfed the hedgerow but got spat out. The van obviously didn't. Its the off camber right hander. Bit of lift off oversteer and it's over.

There was an E-Class in a hedge near my workplace in Maidenhead yesterday evening too. Seems a bit crazy at the moment and it's not even icey yet.

When I did my last post on this thread talking about how that road isn’t really that bad these days, I completely forgot to mention that I had a massive accident a little further north on the same road at the junction with Deadman’s Lane (ironic!). 20-odd years ago mind!

A farmer pulled out of Deadman’s Lane without looking and the bull bars on his Toyota Hilux took 8 inches off the side of my Escort 1.6 LX and spat me onto the verge, up onto the hedge, then back onto the road.

Was very lucky to walk away unscathed - apart from all the st in my pants.

So.. actually quite a dangerous road after all laugh

(Funny story: Years later I found some bits of broken glass from the accident in the turn-ups of my suit trousers!)
