Hi all,

Has anyone else noticed this suddenly in the last couple of weeks? To me, it looks like they've arsed around with the phasing of the traffic lights at the top of the Bagshot Interchange junction and it's absolutely infuriating. It causes enormous tailbacks onto the M3 which are both an annoying waste of time, and potentially rather dangerous.

Yes I often travel from J2 to J4, and the last few weeks have noticed a reduced limit in force because the slip-road off the M3 at J3 backs traffic up onto the M3.

It isn't very Smart at all is it? banghead

Yes, it's got bad lately.

At first I thought might be people avoiding M4 roadworks or even the M3 just filling up again since the addition of the fourth lane.

If they've messed with the lights, that's probably it. Surely would be better to some jams on the local roads than frequent smashes. Inevitable with those selfish idiots who come to a near dead stop in lane 2 and cut in where lane 1 branches off.

I go M25 to 4a. Local Eagle radio tend to report it as roadworks on the A322.

Who would you call to report these dam lights on the roundabout timing problem?

Since I posted this thread I actually emailed Highways England and asked about it. They confirmed that they're aware of an issue with these lights and will be making repairs (new sensors) in a couple of weeks smile

Ta for the update! couple of weeks!!!!! grrrr!

Had an articulated lorry in far left hand lane, moved over last minute to 2nd lane then changed mind and crossed the hatched lines right in front of another truck! One of many near misses!

Is that what the J2-J3 overnight lane closures are for?

Dam today was a pain even at 3pm! Had a colleague contacted highways and their response was as above, they have fixed 2 sensors but last senors will be fixed on the 22nd. Got caught out as no signs saying congestion had to carry on to next junction as jumping into space was too silly!

I hope it is fixed on the 22nd - there was a queue at least half a mile long at 3.30 this afternoon!
