When I saw your photo and read your description, that end of Forest Road was exactly what came to mind, so I was gobsmacked when that's exactly where your link pointed!

Wellingtonia Avenue will be an even quieter location for a photo shoot now it's going to be closed for the next year while they sort out the stretch near the war memorial that's sliding down the hill. 
The church near the Queen's Oak is where I took this photo of my old TVR, many years ago...

Had this place in the back of my mind for a while now. Finally made a quick stop whilst out this morning
