Anyone got a car they aren't using?
Discussion
Davek, thanks so much for your kind offer. Looks like the sale will not be going ahead now, Ford are really messing us about, and we are so appalled by them that we will be pulling out entirely and going elsewhere. No communication, no assistance, differing stories daily, none of it is good enough.
So, we will bide our time and look for something similar / suitable.

Sounds a bit poor on Ford's part - good luck with the search for a new car.
I've got quite enthusiastic about the Cayenne in the last few days. New battery should arrive today or tomorrow, new mats should arrive in a few days, got some touch up paint coming (need to get rid of a 10p piece sized bubbling on the rear wheel arch). I even stuck some conditioner on the leather this morning which is the first time since I bought it in 2013!
And finally got around to clearing the service reminder warning. Didn't actually service it mind you...........

Well, we are still nowhere near resolving this.
Lucky I didn't take up your offer Davek, we are looking at well into next year now as Ford need to re design the car owing to this recall. I reckon it will be a 4 to 6 month delay for the wife. They have offered her the deposit back but we decided there is nothing lost by waiting. Might try and wangle a better deal ultimately, although not sure how feasible that will be. She will look at other cars early next year and if we find a better deal elsewhere so be it.
There must be a lot of peed off customers though.
