The catering queues have always been a problem, especially today as it was so busy.
Probably because it was the first one in a rather miserable year and the weather was great!
The group I go with meets up elsewhere for catering before heading to the Black Swan - Cobham services isn't far away.

This is interesting... still no meets and no mowing of the field, as far as I can tell, at the Fairmile! Wouldn't want to be trying to escape the Black Swan with 300 cars in attendance but lovely place on a day like today!
Just seen Surrey Scoobies had a meet at the Fairmile today, so they are going ahead - albeit not in the usual PH numbers!Hrimfaxi said:

I'm down in Devon at the moment but last time I was home, I think they had finally mowed the field and I saw something on the 'Gram about an American car meet, recently.
Will have a chat when I get home!

Enjoy your hols in Devon. Remember to do your scones like they do in Cornwall.

Time to organise one for the end of August?
I can check the state of the lawn this week if I remember as I should be driving past that way after collecting my new car.
If you can't make it, I could have a look for you - I live just down the road.I can check the state of the lawn this week if I remember as I should be driving past that way after collecting my new car.
