I am thinking of leaving my car overnight at somewhere like Festival Place. Will it still be in one piece in the morning do you think?

Steve

I would say just as safe as say Guildford or Woking
Nothing is certain in life, but lets say 'I would leave my car there'

Steve - I wouldn't leave my car in the Festival Place car park overnight if you didn't absolutely have to.

Its just that FP's car park gets pretty deserted at night which means if anyone is in there looking for a vehicle to break into they'll have less choice - which makes it more likely they'll choose yours.

Most likely it will be just fine, of course...

Is it a stealth vehicle or your Cayenne/other?

You could arrange to leave the car in a Hotel car park (loads of these including the central Red Lion). At least it will be next to loads of other "overnighters"...

I'm a bit far out, I'm afraid (£10 taxi ride), otherwise you could park up outside my house.

Hi Don,

I don't have the KN anymore...sold it ages ago...I will probably leave the
old Rangie in light of what has been said,if anyone wants that I would be very surprised!

Would the Railway Stn car park be any better?

Cheers

We've left the TVR in there a few nights and its been OK. Its not ideal either but if I had to choose its where I'd leave my car. Of course - this is just my prejudices...

I take it you will be away overnight and probably using the railway station anyway? If so - I'd just use the Station if you can...

If you're willing to pay the taxi ride you're still welcome, mate, its just we are a lo-o-ong way out from the station/centre.

I would say no, especially around the train station and also the one way system around the back of the shops. No offence to Basingstoke people, but i lived there for only 6 months in Kempshott and had our house completley cleaned out 4 days before christmas and also a attempted car break in , at the train station car park.

Could happen anywhere, just i use to read the local papers and car crime seems a big thing around there.

Positive thing...left the old Rangie there last night overnight all in one piece this aftrnoon!

Not so sure I would want to leave either of my other 2 there though.
