Hello Thames Valley Pistonheaders!

I'm looking for 20 - 30cars for a car show taking place in Gerrards Cross on the Saturday 24th June that I've been asked to organise at a local charity event for a private school, I know it's incredibly rude to ask people I hardly know but we're getting lots of support and I only need a few hours of your time.

Your car will be in safe hands and you get a chance to show your car off and I'll make sure no greasy hands will get on your paintwork/engine/interior.

If you can help me out I'd be very grateful - of course you can tell me to go find a cliff and jump but if you can help out, please reply if you are interested or drop me an e-mail via the forum.

Mods if this is breaking any rules please do move or delete this post.

Many thanks - Justin (aka JuzzyP)

What sort of cars are you looking for? Also how long and from what time. If a Cerbera is of interest then I might be able to help.

Sadly the S2000 will be sold by then (would it have been suitable?!) - are you also aware that you are clashing with a potential England 2nd round game in the World Cup (4pm)!

Thank you ever so much for your replies and offers of help.

I don't mind what kind of cars providing their slightly different, a Cerbera would be great if you could spare the time. the S2K would've been excellent if it weren't going to be sold.

I'll be putting my turbochraged (well soon to be) MX5 in, my Dad's very special Alfa 87 75 engine GTV converison, his Roller plus some other cars have volunteered.

It's a display only show and we'll put barracades up around the cars as to keep the paintwork/interior handprint and fingerprint free.

I would be grateful for any help - it's only a couple of hours of your time.

If you're a footy fan, it's quite a short day for any displayers, late morning start with an early afternoon wrap up.

So come on help a fellow Pistonheader out!

Justin, I need to check dates, but I am only down the road, so I might be able to bring my S2000, and maybe a few others. If I get some others, how can I sell the idea to them?

You might also get more result posting in one of the general forums, where there are more people looking.

You could also contact some of the local car clubs, I think there are a couple of local classic car clubs around the area - I'm sure there is an Uxbridge Classic club or something. Drop me an email through my profile if you want any help

OK I have an update,

I might change the thread as Im doing this from memory as I don't have access to my home e-mail.

Ron Petersen - 1 x Alfa GTV6, 1 x Rolls Royce
Chris Lees - 1 x Pink Rolls Royce, 1 x Stretched Bentley
JuzzyP - 1 x Mazda MX5 Turbo
seamus - 2 x TVR
(can't remember handle) - Audi x 2, 1 x Aston DB7, 2 x TVR (may prove impossible to get all cars)
AquilaEagle - awaiting e-mail reply but if he can attend 1 x S2000
Touching Cloth - 1 x TVR
Gazboy - Supra (I'll persuade him gang he's a fellow Jap Car Owner)

I'll keep editing the post, at the moment, we're looking for about 20-35 cars on the space allocated.

A competiton will be held on the day, hopefully getting a hamper and champagne for winners.

Categories will be (subject to change)

Car you'd most like to take home
Participants Choice

Thanks ever so much for your responses to the my thread so far.

Forum should be working now!

Sorry-I haven't been in this forum for ages- had I known about this I would have leant you my Supra.

Hasn't happened yet Gaz, still a month away.

JuzzyP, put me down for the Cerb, barring any breakdowns I should be ok for it. Might still be stickered from Le Mans however.

I have e-mailed everyone back so far, but that's ONLY three, what happened to all my volunteers!

I'd better get PM'ing.

OK Im sending an e-mail out in a few minutes time.

Unfortunately a lack of interest may mean I have to cancel this (I should of put it in a part of Pistonheads which gets more traffic)

I will update you on the situation tomorrow on whether we decide to proceed.

By the way Ben - I can't find your e-mail anywhere in my Hotmail, can you resend ASAP to
