Why not tie it in with one of the SAS meetings, we could always have one on a Sunday

Now theres a man with his thinking hat on.

On an unrelated topic, I'm off to New York with Cat and 3 other mates in April, I dont suppose you have anything big enough to carry 5 of us with luggage to the airport do you? boxedin

If not don't worry about it as I'm sure I can sort something else out.

Of course I have, use Grand Voyager so that will fit you in! drop me a mail with details. Do I need to bring my passport?

Hi peeps, just a quickie!!!! - loved VW for the meet, can't we still have a date for us more local that enjoyed that location???

is it that much of an issue really???

Entirely up to you of course but we're trying to address the issue of VW becoming oversubscribed and the ensuing problems that occur. I'm slightly nervous of a 'low key' event turning into one of the normal monster meets.

We will be doing various meets around the country in the coming months so there will be plenty of chances to see old faces at new venues.

So nothing actually stopping us going for a picnic in the VW woods one Sunday morning ? The bigger the VW the less social it felt .

I can see no problem with one of the SAS meetings being moved to a Sunday morning, have a meet up, look at cars, chat bollox and lunch somewhere, and then drink get home fall asleep in front of the tele. biglaugh

Instead of moving the Thursday one, couldn't it be as well as it? After March I'm likely to be busy on Most Sundays with the race season starting so I'm not sure if I'd make it to any!

Sorry folks, but I fail to see how this will work confused

How do you restrict the numbers so that it's only a handful of folks that turn up and not the hundreds that have done previously.

Meet at a pub with just 15 spaces!

The Petersfield meet wasn't that big, for instance.

The easy way is to only post details under this regional folder do not advertise it on the main events/meeting/travel folder.

I'm up for it I cannot get over to Kent tomorrow(family commitments).

Someone volunteer as an organiser and people email the volunteer who then emails out the date to 'locals'? Not really cricket though I suppose but at least it'd keep the numbers local!

PS: this should not be taken as me volunteering myself for anything!

I do prefer the smaller meets. Much more friendly and can get to know people better.
