Posted on behalf of a friend......

My flat was broken into last weekend (14 & 15 April) and my car stolen along with a couple of grands worth of tools that were in the boot, my ipod nano and my laptop.

Whilst out on my motorbike yesterday my car drove past me with a young skinny male driving, approx 19-22 with very short black hair. I gave chase but he lost me. He drove past me on Shoppenhangers Road right by the Holiday Inn hotel, heading towards Cox Green/Woodlands Park. The car was also spotted in Maidenhead somewhere on Friday evening at about 20:00.

My car has a tow bar, was filthy dirty, has silver alloys and the drivers side wing mirror glass was missing. They have put a false plate on the front which is a T reg but the rear still has the original plate which is S705XHL. The car is a dark blue Subaru Impreza Wagon (estate).

There is a cash reward for the safe return of anything or if the little scrote is caught. They may also be using a green version of the same car to get around. Please keep your eyes peeled and call me if you see anything 07811 190400 or Thames Valley Police 08458 505505.

Thanks all,
Ian

I'm not sure where exactly the Bomber Estate is in M/head but I'm sure it's not far from the train station where you saw it.

If you don't already know, that estate is notorious for crime. It may be worth a look If he was stupid enough to drive it with different plates on the front and back, he ight be stupid enough to park it on a public road.

Good luck finding it. I would suggest that you ask the police to check this estate but I would expect much from them. I had my car broken into and unless they'd caught the buggers doing it they won't take too much time pursuing the matter for fear of having no evidence.

I'll keep my eyes open if i'm over that way. I'll store your number just in case. The police might take hours to respond.

Well, the Police have only gone and found it! Its was recovered in St Davids Close which is just off of St Chads Road in Cox Green, Maidenhead - one of the less desirable parts of Maidenhead to live in.

I'm going to pick it up tonight and check what damage is done/change the locks etc. Relieved in a way but still peeved about the tools etc.

Thanks to all for keeping your eyes peeled.

I had your reg number on my mobile just in case I spotted it. Thought i'd check your thread so that I could delete it.

I'm glad you got it back. Any damage or did they just joyride it?
