hehe

I noticed the impressive average speed too! (for the return leg from the petrol station). How quick was the detour off the A303?! Thats the first time I have really struggled to keep up eek - you guys just left me for dead on acceleration from the first T-junction.

The shoelace incident was priceless. Its supposed to be Clio's that have the dodgy bonnet catch nono

Friday was pretty rainy, non stop rain from about 3pm to 10pm and the roads were a wash with water. Other than that it wasn't too bad. smile

I took the more sedate route back which probably got me home later than you guys as we got well and truely stuck on the M4. We eventually crossed back onto the A303 which speeded things up no end! smile

Big mistake Rob, having missed the awesome roads on Saturday you then missed them on Sunday too, and Nathan took us on a traffic free detour around Stonehenge which was blistering as well!

When my car needs a warranty fix I really really miss my Lexus and the Merc S-class!

BMW took nearly all day to phone me back and I have to wait nearly 2 weeks before they can lend me a car as they can't guarantee parts availability the same day... how sh1t is that service for a £70k+ car?! When my Lexus had an intermittent and fairly minor problem under warranty; I phoned them at 9am and by 11am the same day they collected the car and delivered a loaner in it's place!! The Merc had a battery problem under warranty - phoned my local dealer and they looked at it same day and I drove away in an E-class for 2 days whilst they fixed it.

And to cap it all, BMW want me to pay them to insure the loan car! That was a new one on me - not even Ford charge customers to use a loan car for fcensoredks sake!

It might have an 'M' button, but god forbid if it ever goes properly wrong! furious

You need to host them somewhere like photobucket.com and then paste the link into your post.

Rob - Pete is spot on like always, that was an amazing journey back.

Diz - come on spill the beans and explain what the hell you are talking about!

My car is abit poorly at the moment so I think it would have died on the car free route. I think I have a slight coolant issue and a definate air intake problem, however I will be more than game when its running well. smile
