Don't treat this gospal but it looks as though there might be an average speed camera being set up on Marlow Hill leading down into Wycombe. Just after you started to drop down into Wycombe there's a post extending across the road with two cameras looking at each lane.

Just a possible warning that something might be going up in the next week or so is all.

yeah i spotted this too, the pole looks like the same style that the spec (average) speed camaras go on.
i went down there last nite and it does have two very small 'devices' on it. not too sure what the are though

I'm hoping it's just monitoring traffic also, (maybe something to do with the new shopping development)

The poles the cameras are mounted on don't have the SPECS logo and there are no other cameras further down the hill...

Fingers crossed they are nothing more sinister...

If it is Specs, that's excellent news. It will mean the Talivan will no longer be present, and all you need to do if there are 2 sets of cameras is change lane as you go down.

Job done biggrin

I'm amazed they are allowed a Talivan on the hill, I can only remember one accident on the Marlow Hill and that was next to the sports centre.
Gaz, I thought you were a bit more worldly wise than that comment hehe

SPECS would tie in with the recent limit change. Used to be 30 -> 40 as you go up but now it is 40 all the way.

SPECS is only approved by the home office as a speed camera if one camera is monitoring one lane. It is not allowed for one camera to monitor two lanes.

If you swap lanes (providing there are no dummy cameras) then you cannot be charged with speeding...
