I have a few ideas (Chimaera, VX220 Turbo, E39 M5, Monaro) but no real clue, however I plan on having fun making the decision.
Here's a few for starters, enjoy the variety smile

Garage flooded on friday - took 2 1/2 hours round trip from Chobham to Sunningdale and back....

Then flooded again Saturday nightmad

Have now got a large batten across the garage door with sand bags on top. Knowing my luck it won't rain here again!

Course it's not suitable - doesn't mean you shouldn't get one evil

Floods aboslutely everywhere. Went to Barnes to visit tertius and family on Saturday before the karting, leaving Lower Earley was fine. Got home after the karting and Showcase roundabout was shut and Moat House (sic) roundabout was shut. Luckily i know a few shortcuts to get home, but then had a nightmare trying to get to Arborfield to see a mate.

Normality is returning this morning, slowly. Halfords Winnersh should be selling some water damaged bits soon biggrin

Ben, you know my thoughts. £10k on a Chim 400, or £15k on a VX220T or E39 M5. IIRC You can get the M5 to about 460bhp for pennies...

So we've got one vote for a car not on the list.
One vote for the M5
One vote for the Chim
and just to finish it off...
One vote for the Monaro,

So does nobody want to vote for the VX just so it will have not helped me make a decision in the slightest? hehe

The only way I'm going to figure this out is by driving some cars, so that's what I'm going to do

M5 for me, I adore the E39 (and E60 but E39 is more attainable on price for me!) and they sound superb.

You can fit a nice supercharger for little money and that would make it very rapid indeed.

M5...You wont need more power and they do handle a bit like a ferry when you are going fast, lots of power but very heavy

Piss off hehe

I want something that's faster than my car, handling is all well and good, but er my car is supposed to handle like a boat and it'll keep up with most things on the runs we've been on. whistle

Yeah, but it's still a Mini.
I'm sticking to Chim for £10k (light and V8) or VX220T/M5 for £15k (light and turbo'd or fast/comfy/V8). So three votes there.thumbup

Well seeing as this has turned into a stealth 'What car?' thread for Ben, heres my 2p wink

I favour a Chimera or VX220 Turbo out of your shortlist.

You should really get a Cerb though tongue out

Come on Ben - what's the budget likely to be?

We all know the rest of the requirements now: R/AWD, handling better than a boat, 'hair on fire' quick and not an MX5!

We're also presuming yellow as a preference for colour still? hehe
