Poor car got to feel sorry for them having to drive a crate like that. One went past me once on the A31 - it had the most pathetic weedy siren on it as well

Silver very non-descript looking '66' plate (sorry didn't get number) Hyundai i30 on A22 near to M25 J6 late last night.

Allegedly using tactic of crawling in the outside lane at about 50 (in NSL), not moving over into the empty inside lane for an oncoming car and then pulling over the driver who foolishly undertook them.

Do not presume crawling i30 is an old lady!
That's just nonsense. Things like that don't actually happen.

Grey BMW 330D OV17OVH
Pulled over an 18 plate Focus ST at J13 M4 (they was coming down the A34 from Oxford). Lots of police this morning on that stretch of road

Why is it that so many of our Police forces buy German Cars? Parts costs must be through the roof?

Cost. They are cheaper to buy and run than the others. BMW give us a 150k mile warranty (I think it's still the same)
Volvo lost out when we had to move to diesel, as they couldn't compete with the performance of the BMW

I would have thought a Ford or Vauxhall would be far cheaper than BMWs and would Give you guys a very good discount for Bulk orders? Watching that program a few weeks back about the cars being repaired in the Police workshops, the amount of dings and dents you guys pick up along with the scroats you sometimes have to put up with in the backs of your cars, I would have thought Body parts would be a lot cheaper?

There are many, many more Ford and Vauxhall (and Hyundai etc) police cars than BMWs because they are cheaper.

Division currently have focus marked and unmarked, and are swapping to marked Vauxhall’s astras and have a few i30 unmarked (the i30s generally belong to CiD)

You will have to let us know how you get on with them, how often they run flat, reliability etc etc

Good to see the use of new technology.
