I'll be in Glasgow staying at the in-laws this weekend... which doesnt bring quite the same level of excitement as beers with you lot of well practised pissheads wink

BTW: I really like pies, but I don't need a photo thanks (You photo senders know who you are!!! curse )

OK, fair enough; we'll just send pictures of generic carnage and alcohol then... biggrin

I'll hopefully pop out later on to find you all somewhere, but will need to wait for Mrs Cloth to come home first which won't be till about 930pm. Would deffo at the least be up for a birthday lunch somewhere (Windsor?) as children are out during the day. Nom Nom Nom.

The IBIS is right in the middle and there is a car park that seemed to be okay (that you pay for) just behind. Think I only paid £39 for the night and the parking was less than £10 as well. Or the travel lodge out by John and Neil might be worth a look.

Loads of hotels in the centre now and most have parking facilities of some description - may need a call to check availability though.

Generic Reading car parks that I have 'overnight' experience of:

  • Reading Station (24 hour security by CCTV, but expensive... I have abandoned cars there on several occassions due to excesses in London after work drunk)
  • Q-Park (brand new and 24 hour physical security, i.e. people physically on site 24 hours, with shuttered entrances that need a ticket to get in as a pedestrian. Even the car entrances are shuttered after dark and will only open when the security office checks the camera when a car is detected...: http://www.q-park.co.uk/tabid/1291/qparkParkingLoc... . Only £14 for 24 hours...)
  • Oracle Riverside (never heard of problems here, but very public and nowhere near as secure as Q-Park or Station)
  • Broad St Mall (Do not park here overnight! No security of any description...)

Try laterooms.com, normally do decent local hotels at bargain prices. We got the De Vere for £29 last time!
