G2 barn find help requested

Hi there, I have a friend who has a G2 in a barn which was left to him by his father. It is in poor shape and he is in a quandary about what to do with it. He doesn't do pistonheads, so I thought I would pop a post on here. I have seen that a member called Spadge is very knowledgeable, but any help or contacts would be very welcome. I am also going to suggest he contact or join the owners club. Thanks in anticipation of any assistance. It would be lovely to see it restored and he is thinking of doing so, provided it is economically viable.

Hello, I am sorry for the radio silence on this. My friends car is featuring in the found section of Classic and Sports car this issue (Feb 2020) for those who are interested. It is in need of quite significant restoration, more than my friend can muster himself. Feel free to pm me for more information. Thanks for everyone's help, we have managed to get the car known to the club and they have been extremely helpful.
