I am about to buy a G33 but the exhaust is still the original system! and is pretty ropey. Can any one recommend a supplier of stainless systems and tubular manifolds, preferably in the Midlands.

Thanks

Nick

unless you really really want to, I'd just go for a new version of the existing exhaust because it sounds fantaastic!

the manifolds are the inefficient bit so i do recommend changing those

mcdonald racing near durham will do you an exhaust (standard or racing, SS or mild) or I suppose you could try the 'factory' in sheffield but I wouldn't bet on him being much use

Thanks Minimax. I saw a g33 a couple of weeks ago with a stainless system, and it sounded even better than the standard car - repackable silencers probably helped.

As a matter of interest, does your G33 have any sort of a sump guard. The sump looks pretty vulnerable to me.

I have morgan plus8 pipes on mine and my oh my they sound utterly gorgeous, TVR V8's sound flat and dull compared to it!

the sump is vulnerable over speed humps, make shure you go bloody slowly over them! or fit a sump guard which is what i'm having done tomorrow (among other things)

I've just had a thought, whereabouts are you?

I'm in nottingham, I think it would be absolutely awesome to have TWO Ginetta G33's at a midlands meet!

Hi Nick,

While they don't generally make manifolds (though they do the ones for the Spyker) Custom Chrome in Nuneaton will certainly make up a system from the manifolds back.
