As I now live in the sticks(ish) any drive I do requires some pothole avoidance, so I'm moving more and more away from having a sports car.

However, yesterday I had to take the misses over to her parents for the monthly Sunday family thing. The sun was out, the tarmac sticky and for some reason, not another car was about. And for a change, I got to take my car.
I had decided to ignore the squeeks, squirms and general calls of alarm from the passenger seat, and drive like I used to every day. It was glourious! Windows down full, the V6 screaming at 8000rpm, nature blurring past. Oh, I was alive again.

The only thing missing from all this was a little British built, soft top sports car with the engine up ahead and the drive wheels behind. To ram this point home, a roundabout to get onto the small section of motorway I had to traverse, was full with softop cars! All big and brash, foreign, not really sports cars, and all in need of seeing a proper little pretty car that would whoop their sorry asses.

Then today it rained, and I was more glad I have a water tight car. But still. If I had a garage, and lived walking distance to the station, I'd get a G4... looks like I need to move house ;)

well I think i'm going to put the G33 up for sale for the opposite reason, I need something that doesn't leak (certainly spent some cash trying to make sure it doesn't), has a reasonable level of security and won't cost me 9k in 12 months on servicing...although this is purely down to the miles I do in it (14k per year) I can't face only doing the traditional 1k per year to keep the servicing bills at the usual £500 p/a..

so if you get tempted by a loud V8 that weighs f**k all and frightens people then drop me a line
