What's that, about £23,000 or thereabouts? Marc Evans 61 car that's gotta be a good price!

Yeah, that conversion sounds about right to me. The only other G4s I've seen for sale in the US in thepast year have been in the $65,000 range. This is just over half that amount. There is also a good white one with blue stripe in the Netherlands for around 25k pounds.

But round tube G4s never had a chassis plate! Looks good, though

yep chassis number may be embossed on one of the chassis tubes, but wouldnt expect to see a plate.
Not for that reason, but i have had 2 independent 'experts' confirm this is probably not a genuine car.. i was v interested in it a few months ago

could you be so kind and tell us (you do not have to name the experts) which areas / or why this car isnt genuine. this would help a lot.

biggrin that's what I meant!
shouldn't have one and looks even more obvious by only using a couple rivets.

I do agree though, looks good - possibly better than an original!

well, the general consensus was that the car was made from a reproduction chassis... and is not the original car that the log book relates to.
This is ok for racing i suppose, but may have difficulty to rereg this vehicle with the DVLA in UK

The two links are interesting

The car at link http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C133908/
This car looks a bargain compared to other that have been up for sale in the last few years, I would how ever ask for picture of the underside. I entered into chats a few years ago with a view to buying it. However I decided against it. If the car is in the same condition as the photos I saw, it is a fair price.

And the car at Link http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C121035/

Is a very clean car and the underside looks good. However it still needs some work. The Rear screen looks as though it was about to pop out. I would guess that in the current climate it is about £ 4k over priced. It is also a swb version.

Hi Snapper, the first link G4 is interesting.
I have just mailed him.

However, I don't understand why the club has this car listed as 2 people owning it, can only assume it is 'dual-owned'?
So, if this is the case, I assume 'both' in agreement to selling it?

The registration seems to point at one of the owners names!

Also club as it down as a 2002 car, yet here it says 99/00 car?

When I was looking to purchase it the info supplied to me was: 1999/2000 Metallic Silver Dare G4 Coupe, Wide body long cockpit model.

If it is a car you are interested in, ask for pictures of the underside before traveling to see it. I did have a fair amount of communications in relations to this car and decided it was not for me.
