Why did Spadge go? (or is that something you ask in a public forum?)

Am I the only one who thinks that this (and any other car) looks tatty purely because the wheels don't have centre caps? Of course I'm playing Mr. Anal ... this car is beautiful.

I wasn't aware that Spadge was building a G12 before he left? Surely it would be Sky Blue if it was! whistlebiggrin

I love the G12, but have always thought that the bulge in the bonnet (front) is a bit ugly.

Perhaps it's just me, but the profile of that bulge looks different to an original 1960s G12. Was it necessary because at some time the GT regs called for it to be possible to carry a spare wheel? There isn't much under the bonnet of a G12

I do believe this is a car supplied by GH, but i have to say im quite keen on that colour

I like the minilites without centres... 1st thing i did was take them off my dare G4!

The G12 has so many little details in the design. the bonnet bulge (which must have been for a spare?!) the air intakes, the cutaway behind the rear arches. But it just works, looks great

Hey that's me in that vid.! Not the most elegant of starts - clutch was slipping and the gear change was C.R.A.P. The Orange G4R is Mark Walklett - you could probably tell by his driving - in my old G4 that I bought from him in 1999 and sold it back to him a few years later. "One careful owner" he said and I didn't know Mark then! Anyway at that Lydden race he slipped by into the lead when a Marshall waved the wrong flag and he ignored it. But getting back past him was a little tricky - and the coming together at the end was the result. He got a second place - I got a broken wishbone......Grrrrrr. Mark's favourite saying "the track is only a guide" reflects his particular style.

Mark certainly takes no prisoners! I remember watching this from the sidelines, in the 2nd race (with G12 unable to race) the impreza was on slicks and some 400+ HP, & was ahead of Mark i think most of the race. Mark managed to overtake on the last lap but he really had to 'coax' the impreza out of the way..!

ha ha - I remember the panel damage from your "coaxin" laugh

A couple of great races though - Lydden really suits the G4/G12 Ginetta's.
