Are they making the G4 with the removable hardtop? Saw some pictures way back when that led me to believe that you can purchase the G4 wiht a removable hardtop that looks like the coupe...

Yep. Long cockpit model, so effectively u have best of both worlds - hardtop and open.

Not the first left-hand drive G4, there was one (or more?) in the 60s that went to USA but track of it was lost over years - I need to confer with Trevor Pyman (I should know but have forgotten).

Very cozy interiour. Looks all business just the way a PHer would want it.

Does anybody know how much a simular car would cost in the US? Would a permanenat (sp)hard top/roll cage cost more or less. Looking at a US Lotus 7 page it seems like he engine/tran spec can really run the price up if you want the full 180-200 hp from the Ztec.

I've been dreaming of trading in the 96 Bemmh m3 for a later model used Mcoupe. Ugly but wicked. G4 would be so nice but so impractical for a one car person with bikes.
