Sync 2.0 app install?

Hi

I have Ford Expedition Limited 2016 that I have bought from local distributor in K.S.A and it comes with Sync 2 (Sync with MyFord Touch) but without navigation, i have attached a snapshot of the version.

Will that proposed file work in this case to update Sync and get updates for it ?

What is the latest version for Sync 2? Anyone send me the EU file to get it bumped up....

From my understanding Sync 2 is Microsoft Sync which is actually windows mobile. Horrid OS and difficult to mount a USB device to even get the update on - took me two weeks of experimenting.

Sync 3 is a Blackberry OS. That’s the key obvious hardware difference. No way CarPlay would work on Sync 2 as it’s unique to Blackberry OS. That’s why Ford ditched Microsoft as a supplier.

P.S. there are vast difference between U.S. equipment and EU. We didn’t get the blackberry OS kit until later.... many YouTube vids of pre facelift Mk3 STs with Sync 3 in (big screen dash infotainment) not the tiny hole with a 2” screen buried in the dash

Hi could i please have the link to the EU version please i am also looking potential for the nav software if it isnt part of this update as i have just unlocked the nav function on my sync 2 im awating the map sd card of ebay to test it out

Can you please tell me how did you unlocked nav function? I have Sync 2 and don't have navigation (just write ''information system'').
