That it's chav transport, not my words I'll add, and I'm totally the wrong age bracket, who cares, as a petrolhead you recognise a great car when you drive one.
I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever really seen a chav ST. They all appear perfectly standard cars with people who always seem very pleased to have one.

Mine will carry me into retirement, this year and, assuming that change doesn't increase my insurance premium, will remain my daily of choice because it just does everything well and will never hand me an unaffordable bill if something goes wrong.

As I say not my words, merely quoting from above. I suspect the comment is in part because they're usually a younger mans car, and probably as we did in our youth younger blokes like to mod their cars, plus being a Ford there's a large scene and parts around it, as I understand it.

As I say I too am not the typical target market, but what I like from my test drives so far is the enthusiasm it displays, it seems to be a fun car, something so missing in many modern cars, and something I'd like back in my daily.

I suppose because hardly anybody works on NYE and a day later would make it a 16 registration (though same plate obviously) which may affect the value....or am I being cynical? I understand monthly figures but wonder the buyer agreed as even an incentive in December would be offset at sale. Or am I being obtuse?
? 16 plates started on 1st March

I meant it would be a 2016 car, not a 2015. As Dinah washington remarked "What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours".

Just thought of something else too which is puzzling me.
My 63 plate ST had the Sony unit and flipped between stations with speedy alacrity, yet the same unit in the 65 is an obstructive pain with some buttons requiring several pushes to change the station or offering to pre-set it again.... annoying.

On the upside, had a major service today which was only £195 and came with free 12 months breakdown cover. The car feels much spritelier although it had a PCM update while it was in.

That does seem a bit odd, from all that I've read I don't recall any updates to the Sony system, the one area that has always seemingly attracted criticism. That said it's more the design, lack of touch screen and difficulty finding a DAB station - though for me once I've found one I save it so shouldn't bother me too much.

One thing I've noticed as is often commented on in the reviews is that the heated seats are more akin to sitting on a fire!

How true. They do heat up very quickly and do have two settings if the thermonuclear setting is a tad too warm!

Anyway, Mrs Garvin has achieved her aim and a new 5 door, 3 pot version is due to be delivered to the dealer on 28th February. Despite the continued rave reviews I was very sceptical about the 3 pot motor but the test drive quelled my concerns completely.

Didn't really know where to put this, bought mine 6 months ago but due to circumstances haven't had a chance to drive it until this week. First thoughts are it's a lot more grown up than my Clio 182, packs a punch once the turbo kicks in. It's comfortable enough and is a laugh to drive. I was going to sell my Clio 182 as a track car or something, but I'm debating repairing it now and keeping both, but undecided at the minute. The Fiesta certainly has a lot more gadgets, I can't believe I've got DAB radio and heated seats, it's like I'm a celeb.
