2.0 TDCI engine issues?

I'm aware of the issues the 2.0 TDCI had in the Mondeo at least, but did the later engines become any more robust?

Half tempted by the idea of a Kuga (circa 2009/10), but a bit off put by the concept of random engine/fuelling/flywheel problems.
