6000 direct replacement for 6006? - Focus 2001

Hi

My 2001 Focus has developed the issue where the sound chip / board appears to have gone for a burton.

Will need to sort a replacement, will the single disc 6000 be a straight forward 'plug and play' replacement for the 6006 please?

On a further note, has anyone found an aftermarket aux cable for these stereo models that plugs into the rear? I notice a lot online are only for those with an AUX button on the stereo whereas the 6000 from 2001 doesn't have this.
